The Restful Loon, stoneware sculpture by Andersen Studio of Maine

The ceramic loon is designed by Andersen Studio and hand crafted by Maine artisans

The glossy green head of the Andersen Studio stoneware loon tilts upward toward the sky. From the pointed end of the beak, the sculptural lines slope downward, curving over the head and the ebony and white carved back to reach a conclusion in the pointed tips of the birds tail. The glossy loon green glaze of the stoneware bird’s head meets the ebony sheen of it’s back with matte white glaze accents in between, creating an artful balance of ceramic surfaces, color and form. This authentic work of American ceramic nature art is all handcrafted by American artisans made from the raw materials of American earth.

The large stoneware loon is 10 inches long. The small stoneware loon is 8.5 inches long.
