A comprehensive and collectible line of ceramic birds. Andersen Studio stoneware birds are classily American. Andersen Studio began as an innovator in American Ceramics Art and design in the mid-century. When the Andersens added ceramic birds to their popular line of handcrafted stoneware slip-cast design, the ceramic birds inspired an instant grass roots collectible movement. The stoneware body and ceramic glazes are all original creations by the artists, created in a process that begins with raw materials sourced in the United States of America. Our distinctive ceramic birds make a unique addition for a ceramic home decor collection

Stoneware Junco with Berry designed and crafted by Maine artisans for Andersen Studio's ceramic birds collection

The Stoneware Junco sculpture is a simple stoneware form with a subtle turning movement.

The little ceramic Junco with a Berry in its beak turns its head and looks upward. The sculpture's simple modelling effortlessy captures the bird's posture. Gentle gray or elegant bronze or variegated verdigris glaze the surface of the stoneware form. All three choices are original ceramic glazes created by Andersen Studio of Maine where the pottery Junco is slip cast and then hand decorated by American artisans. The stoneware bird with berry is three inches long
