A comprehensive and collectible line of ceramic birds. Andersen Studio stoneware birds are classily American. Andersen Studio began as an innovator in American Ceramics Art and design in the mid-century. When the Andersens added ceramic birds to their popular line of handcrafted stoneware slip-cast design, the ceramic birds inspired an instant grass roots collectible movement. The stoneware body and ceramic glazes are all original creations by the artists, created in a process that begins with raw materials sourced in the United States of America. Our distinctive ceramic birds make a unique addition for a ceramic home decor collection

Stoneware Seagull with Yellow Beak Sculpture, American ceramic nature art by Andersen Studio of Maine

Natures’ bold and minimalistic design is captured in the Andersen Studio Gull with Yellow Beak

The Seagull with Yellow Beak turns it’s head to scan the horizon. The Seagull's regal stature and sensuous curves are capured in the simple masses of the sculpture , The wings are merely suggested by ceramic brushwork, executed in the Andersen’s soft gray decorating color. The glossy ebony tail meets the soft matte white glaze. A yellow golden beak adds a sandy texture to the pleasing combination of ceramic surfaces that coloborate with the underlying form to become a startlingly life-like Ceramic Seagull.

Our stoneware Seagull is hand-crafted by Maine artisans. The sculpture is 11 inches long.
