The Floating Gull is the first wildlife sculpture in the Andersen Stoneware wildlife sculpture line. Created in the 1960’s , the stoneware gull proved to have a classic appeal that has sustained unwavering to the present day. The simple, slightly abstracted sculptural form of the ceramic seagull is now a time tested American classic . The floating gull is slip cast in white stoneware and decorated with gray and black ceramic colors before it is glazed in the Andersen’s signature matte white glaze. Andersen ceramics are all handcrafted by American artisans and made from raw materials sourced in the United States. This Timeless Stoneware Seagull is 11 inches long.
