Ceramic Sawhet Owl Sculpture by Andersen Studio of Maine

A simple stoneware form, rock-like in its nature has piercing hollowed eyes conveying the owl’s mysterious wisdom.

Simple form and ceramic textures are balanced in the Andersen Studio Sawhet Owl. The carved face and penetrating hollowed eyes are used in just the right measure to compliment the subtle modeling of the sculpture. The stoneware owl is made using the ceramic slip casting method, which starts with raw materials mined in the United States, used to create the clay slip which is poured into a handcrafted molds made from sculptures designed by Andersen Studio artists. Each individual sculpture is hand finished and decorated by American artisans.

Theceramic Sawhet Owl sculpture stands 6 inches tall and is available in Gray, Natural Brown or Matte White glaze.
