The body and tail of the bird are subtly abstracted, while the head is perfectly proportioned to nature. The hollowed out eyes take just the right amount of artisitic liberty. White stoneware clay slip is poured into plaster molds and the ceramic bird is then handcrafted and hand decorated with the Andersen’s fluid ceramic decorating colors, made from raw materials.
