The hawk is a regal subject rendered in red stoneware and wonderful ceramic textures and glazes.

Stoneware Hawk Figurine from Andersen Studio of Maine. This beautifully carved ceramic Falcon sculpture was sculpted by Iain Peter Andersen. The stoneware Hawk gazes about with peircing ebony eyes, as it remains calm and reposed with it’s large claws cluthcing the pedastle on which it stands. The stoneware Falcon is brushed in the Andersen natural brown ceramic decorating slip and then waxed before dipping in a matte white glaze, creating a naturalistic feathered texture.This stately stoneware bird stands only 7” tall but converys a feeling of the majestic.
