The Ceramic Hawk Sculpture by Andersen Studio is sculpted with an edge of rawness by Iain Peter Andersen. Caught in a moment of turning it’s head as it scans the horizon, the ebony glazed eyes spring to life agains thet sandy and matte surface of the bird's body. The hawk's claws are strong and pronounced as they grip the base. The hawk’s posture is centered and ready to respond in an instant.

The carved ceramic feathers are brushed with a natural brown ceramic slip and then waxed across the top-most surface before dipped in the matte white glaze resulting in fascinating ceramic textural pattern.

The stoneware Falcon is seven inches tall and all handcrafted by American Artisans in Andersen Studio on the coast of Maine.
