A comprehensive and collectible line of ceramic birds. Andersen Studio stoneware birds are classily American. Andersen Studio began as an innovator in American Ceramics Art and design in the mid-century. When the Andersens added ceramic birds to their popular line of handcrafted stoneware slip-cast design, the ceramic birds inspired an instant grass roots collectible movement. The stoneware body and ceramic glazes are all original creations by the artists, created in a process that begins with raw materials sourced in the United States of America. Our distinctive ceramic birds make a unique addition for a ceramic home decor collection

Gentle Ceramic Bird with Berry by Andersen Studio of Maine

The stoneware Junco is decorated with the Andersen soft- to- the touch white matte glaze glaze over fluid hues of grey

The Andersen Studio Bird with Berry is a gentle rounded form evoking satisfied nourishment. The little ceramic Junco carries a berry in its ebony glazed beak. Simple lines are all that is needed to bring this bird to life. The Andersen’s elegant ceramic gray decorating color flows over the rounded shape of the pottery bird. The roundness stretches out to become the long thin ebony tail, the open beak and lively eyes, all glazed in ebony. This sweet little ceramic bird, harvesting nature's bounty, is 3 inches long and all handcrafted by American artisans. A personal and unpretentious gift.
